The Kids

Cat-cut doe, now healed, with her fawn.

The sangfroid of squirrels.

Cat-cut doe with fawn.

Dr. Sneed says the rabbits rule on the corn pile. I can't tell here in town.

Not the younger doe I don't think. She has a white mark on her top neck. Not the Cat-cut doe but I don't think it's the Younger doe either. Fawn in the corner.

It's harder than you might imagine to ID individual does off deercam photos. The town does are a tough lot. The ID marks are on one side, or they heal, or the does come in at night instead of in daylight. I've finally reached the conclusion that there are as many as three does, two of them with fawns who came to the cam for the first time this last cycle.
Plenty of fawn prints on the sandbars just a few yards away, but nothing on cam except one tiny head in a corner.
