Nobody believes in America anymore except a few of its citizens, but to those of us who still love the idea and practice of human liberty, Happy 4th of July!
Update: Went to sleep last night to the crackle and boom of fireworks throughout the neighborhood. Might have been occasional gunfire mixed in. Our neighbors include many Mexican Nationals who love fireworks and tend to ignore the laws against possessing them, much less lighting them up, inside the city limits.

I'm guessing that there's more of a story behind this photograph than meets the eye?
I can't imagine that one Texas's great story tellers would not have a story to tell with such a picture.
