Texas, 1836.



Most settlements along the rivers. As The Mexican Army chases Houston and the Texicans East they have to cross river after river. It's a rainy Spring in 1836 and the crossings are few and difficult.

That was a truly hard retreat... Hell, it's hard TODAY if it's been raining to drive that same route and make any time, much less on horseback and walking and fording/swimming streams and rivers.
