Chipping away at pigs.

The hard way.  I shot one of the piglets with my single shot deer Ruger, (the dumbest one, who stopped), and two more with a little 10/22 a few days later.  The bobcats have scored a few or the herd has split.  Seems like there were 11 to start, cut to nine, now three.

I'm shooting at them from the far side. I think there is at least one more off cam.

They are cute, but need to go.

At least two of these are gone.  Might have hit one more.  The big ones don't come up here any more, even at night it seems....except now and then...

One frame of three.  He came by but didn't stay.  He's not .22-proof.

B'rer Possum in the rain.

Some smart old does down in the bottom listening to something.

Daily Deercam December 14-16, 2013.

The does on the cam behind the house.

Perfect little 8-point, 1 1/2 years old, in the bottom.  Next year, someone will be likely to shoot him for those antlers.  The year after that he will almost be a trophy, if he goes one MORE year he will be as invisible and canny as Bigfoot and nobody will even know he is around and will rule the bottom.

Pig pushing

Ten little pigs from November 30.  I don't think they are all still around.

December 1st, still 10.

Lotta little strip-ey pigs.  I've counted ten in the group at the first of the month but it looks like there are less now.  Lots of coyotes and bobcats around, plus BIGFOOT!

Little pigs and their friends at all hours of the day and night.  Right behind the house.

The local doe herd.

Must have been really cold.  The plywood she is looking at is part of the blind.

Going to install a feeder right here.

Little bucks at the lake.

Little buck down in the bottom.

I THINK this is a different deer but maybe not.  Look at that neck.

Behind the lakehouse.

One of the little bucks sneaking around.

Dr. Sneed saw one of these guys in the brush after sitting for about five minutes while I made a run to the other cam.  Lots of activity right behind the house.

Daily Deercam, November 30th.

Katie, Lucy and I took a little walk yesterday afternoon and put corn out.  Last night it got eaten.

Big boar in the bottom.  Pretty salty looking.

He has hairy ears.

Two does and a nubbin buck behind the house.

Followed by...

A different hog.

...who showed then up on the other cam after the hairy-eared monster had left.

Sat out this evening.  Nothing stirring.  Re-corned.  May give it a shake in the morning.  Weather pretty temperate, in the 50s.

Dead Moultrie Cam and a kicked over deer.

Nothing new about lousy dying Moultries but something knocked down the deer decoy and then dug up the ground next to it.  Could have been any little deer- even a doe.  I think they may have peed on the decoy as well.

Dug out area with the deepest point right at the nose of the fallen decoy.

It ain't easy being a decoy!

Left it up and out.  The wind could have blown it down.  Wasn't damaged but someone made quite a display.  Dig out full of deer tracks.  Moultrie took three photos of me when I walked up but nothing over the two days previous.  Then it died.  Batteries usually last a month so it isn't that.  One-year-old cam.
