Depends on their previous records. If they have clean records and this is their first act of criminal stupidity, they might get the charge knocked down to a misdemeanor and end up with probation/community service.
Once, right here in the neighborhood I was driving my Landcruiser up the brick street when I saw a paintball come out of an upstairs back window and SPLAT! on my windshield. I pulled over to the house and knocked on the door. Some kid came to the door and I chewed them out about shooting cars with painballs. Later I got a call from the dad of the house telling me "boys will be boys, ha, ha, ha" and I got the idea that he was feeling me out about whether I was calling the police or not. I wasn't interested in the police but did advise him to give them a little percussive maintainence. He was a Federal Judge at the time and still is.

Actions have consequences... And they are about to learn that!

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Something tells me they aren't choir boys.
alan - agreed. i'd rather see these guys in jail than people who haven't paid their parking tickets.
no sympathy whatsoever for them, or the parents who did such a fabulous job of raising them.
