Down the blog somewhere I have a post bragging about all the dead deer I have produced using vintage military arms. I like some of the bigger ones better, the carbine is a little snappy and hard to get good position on. I like it best in a folding stock so you can get your hand squared away on the pistol grip.
Factory ammo or handload?

ReplyDeleteRemington Hunting Ammo. It's got a semi-jacketed softpoint. Doe ran about 60 yards.
ReplyDeleteNever hunted with them, but I love both my M1 Garand and M1 Carbine.
ReplyDeleteThe Carbine especially is simply a joy to shoot.
