The man who oversaw the opening of The Texas Embassy restaurant in London, Thom Jackson, was a neighbor of mine for several years in Dallas. Great post here.
Unrelated note-- we didn't have time for Cadillac Ranch or Panhandle Plains Museum when we came through there yesterday with Lovely Tam, MattG, Old NFO, aepilotjim and Ambulance Driver yesterday, but Himself and i hope to swing by there with them the way back home.
We actually ate there last month during a visit to the UK. Even though I am not a native Texan I made sure to marry one, so they let me in. Pretty decent burger.
It's about the only place in London you can get a decent burger. And Lonestar beer.

ReplyDeleteFYI, the Texas Embassy Cantina is not located where the actual embassy was. The restaurant is just off of Trafalgar Square.
