I was 5.

To this day, I have some brass I policed up from the salute, and I cry like a baby when I hear taps.

I hope our country will someday see the honour of our warriors, and appreciate their sacrifice for our freedom.

Good memories, thanks for the reminder.

Semper Fi Steve....de...StxRynnSTxARhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04588850178293194825noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659715953846222592.post-53845539562954431622009-08-28T16:52:12.142-07:002009-08-28T16:52:12.142-07:00It wasn't nice to come back to if you wore the...It wasn't nice to come back to if you wore the uniform. I too offer sympathy on the loss of your brother there. Sad part is we left before the job was done and really wasted all those lives. I will never trust a Democrat to do the right thing. Do all the lovely people live in fly over country? I believe so.Earlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794620086508373660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659715953846222592.post-51753794212433288162009-08-27T20:02:06.881-07:002009-08-27T20:02:06.881-07:00glass raised in honorglass raised in honorcatfishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08124423063293021127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8659715953846222592.post-18583079780269485942009-08-27T19:06:23.156-07:002009-08-27T19:06:23.156-07:00Sorry about your brother. As a Charlie Model gunship pilot in the 129th AHC, I had the privilege of often providing fire support for the "grunts" of the 173rd and was very familiar with the Bon Son area. May they all rest in peace. flurmeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
